“Zero character development, but an interesting semi-realistic take on how a war against the warsaw pact might have proceeded. Note that it has NOTHING to do with any other the other crap clancy has written.”

“You can get overwhelmed with the military aspect of this book. The story is good though and that is what kept me coming back until the end.”

“This is the first Tom Clancy novel I read. I had trouble following it in the beginning as the storyline switched between multiple characters and locations. I wasn't sure I was going to finish reading it, but at some point I found myself identifying with the hero and from that point on, couldn't put the book down, as all of the confusing detail provided at the beginning began to converge into one frighteningly believeable story.”

“A great military thriller. Alot of research has been put into this book and I love it! It talks about a theroetical invasion of the Soviet Union against Russia. ”
