Considering this was written 12 years ago, it was spooky to read it in October 2008 and relate it to the current economic issues. Parts were too detailed and too technical and some parts shifted scenes so quickly that it was difficult to follow, but that's just Clancy's style. When the plot reaches a climatic point, he will shift quickly between parties to heighten the anticipation as much as he can. This isn't my favorite Clancy but it is quite good. this book hits closed to home. What happens when the goverment has to be re-elected and started from scratch? Now Jack Ryan stands before that huge task, to be the only one who qualifies for the President, and he dont want to be one, since he has no experience. Not only that, also a deadly epedemic desease is spreading worldwide.
    How can he tackle both?
    Indeed a nail biter.
