“The language is very informal, as a non-native speaker, I was disappointed by the grammar and style. The moral of this book is below zero, the "good" soldier, the "bad" drug dealer, the "conspirating" communist, the "cruel" viet kong, and all this army slang. After reading 10 pages, I gave up reading.
Months later, I re-started it, and I ended up loving the main personnage, Kelly, a kind of Rambo-Terminator, I just could not stop reading. The suspense is intense, until the last page I have really being reading day and night, this is why I am giving 5 stars to this book.
