I really liked this book. It gives a flavor of small town Wisconsin but with an urban history of NY and Chicago. This unlikely group of women who start out as strangers and even enemies become each others saviors in unlikely ways.

I enjoyed this book. It tells the story of a woman acquitted of murdering her boyfriend. To escape the notoriety caused by her trial she escapes to a small town in Wiscosin to the house her grandmother left her. She stands out there like a sore thumb. We meet some of the residents of Kettle, WI. . .the perfect housewife and the shy, retiring Erin. This is a story of female friendship and the strength women can give one another. It is a quick read--I kept reading to find out what would happen to these women who I came to like very much.
