“this was one book that while reading it I had to take a break because I physically could not read it. I was crying so bad, I couldn't see the page. BUT- definately worth the effort of reading. What an amazing woman!”

“A young girl is kidnapped by Indians and taken to their camp. She eventually escapes and miraculously makes her way back home.”

“One of my all-time favorites. Two women fight their way back home after being captured by Indians....and escaping. The trials they go through are heart-rending as well as humorous at times.”

“Tense, exciting, romantic, even inspiring. With that said, I admit that I had a hard time with some of the "earlier" books' characterization of Native American culture while celebrating the victorious main character (who was usually white)”
