Certainly the best of Coupland's works, and the only one, in my opinion, that deserves any place in the pantheon of truly great literature. Maybe it's a fluke, but I think his work on the broad (and difficult) themes of family and religion has never worked better within the context of this story.

This book is a literary arsenic OtterPop. It's brilliant, and gripping, but it's also tragically cynical and dark. It has no redeeming purpose in the end. Deeeepresssing!
