“Betsy's got a zombie living in the attic and a delegation of European vampires on her doorstep. The problem is that she's not sure if the Eurotrash vamps are here to honor her queenship or if it is part of a nefarious plot to kill her off for good. Since this is all coming together as Betsy's 31st birthday approaches, this is not a good time for the Queen. It's up to Eric and the rest of the entourage to get her through these times without her going ballistic and having a fashion meltdown! ”

More characters to meet and interesting events to read about. Betsy and Sinclair's relationship couldn't get any better, or could it? Betsy's choice of words is really amusing and the way Sinclair speaks reflects how old he really is, and it's funnier when they argue. As usual, the Vampire Queen "doesn't give a ripe shit" about things like the powerful and old European vampires but she sure did shove them with her designer shoes (not literally). This one made me laugh, wonder, and left me highly entertained.”

Maybe it was the wrong time of the month to try and read UNDEAD AND UNPOPULAR. Maybe the full moon made my brain hurt. Regardless of the reason, I couldn't even finish this story, and that saddens me.
I love MJD, I love her sense of humor, I love her writing style. I didn't love this book. It seemed to be missing that irreverent sense of witty snarkism that always make me enjoy an MJD story. There were plot lines that seemed totally unimportant (and, in fact, ridiculous) to the plot--can anyone say zombie in the attic?
The fact is, sometimes the story was amusing. Sometimes I liked Betsy. Sometimes I thought Eric was still hot. Most of the time, though, I was simply bored and uninspired.”
“I adore every aspect that the book brings and I LOVE it comlpetely.”

She is so quirky and learning more about her sister, zombies, foreign vampires and the oh so sexy sinclair makes me want to read all day.”
