I read this book because Kisha from RIT listed it as a beach read recommendation. I'm not really familiar with the vampire genre of fiction, so I thought I'd give this one a try.

Betsy Taylor is not having a good week. She's just been laid off from her secretarial job, and while she's mulling over this development, she's hit by a car and killed. Didn’t Like It

Shelfari needs a star that indicates neutral. I liked it but didn't like it. I liked the style on how the tale was written. It was humorous, witty, fun, fast, etc... but I just couldn't get into Besty's self-absorbed self. She wasn't very likable. That all knowing attitude. I never finished the book but I may attempt it again when I have nothing else to do.

I stumbled over this book by pure coincedence and I'm very glad that I stumbled ;). I love this book; the only bad thing I can say is, that it's way too thin ;)

I made it through the first three in the series. They are an okay guilty-pleasure snack between more meaty books. After that the writing seemed to be pandering to the reader's likelihood to keep reading just because it's a series, instead of trying to offer the reader an experience worthy of their time.
