    • A bunch of toys and good food is trying to get over the mountain to the good little boys and girls when their train breaks down. They get out and flag down engines that are passing by. The first few engines refuse to help the toys and food. Then comes along the little blue engine and she agrees to help the toys and food even though she has never been over the mountain. The whole time she is towing she says "I think I can. I think I can. I think I can".can". This book is a good example of optimism and perseverance.
