A small train is bringing food and toys to children across the mountain. At one point she cannot pull the cars anymore. The toys get out ans flag don other engines that come along. Three engines come and go before the Little engine stops and helps the train and the toys. The train keeps telling herself that she can get the train across the mountian and deliver the toys.

  • The Clown: The clown flags down the other engines, asking for help to climb the mountain. The spokesman for the group of toys.
  • The Little Blue Engine: The engine is the only one who will help the train. The smallest engine, but with big courage.
  • The Little Train: The train that breaks down on it's way to deliver toys to the boys and girls.
  • The Shiny New Engine: The first train that crosses the path of the Little Train, but refuses to help, because he is a passenger train.
  • The Big Strong Engine: The second engine that comes along, but refuses to help because he is a freight train.
  • The Rusty Old Engine: The third engine that approaches, but refuses to help because he is so tired.
