Loved Little Women, loved Little Men. Don't agree with every single thing about how "Mrs. Jo" raised all her men and women, but she is a very smart, very committed lady. and as a mother, it is so nice to read about a woman with is praised for her devotion to raising young people that will be a blessing on the earth.

I liked this book better than Little Women, because it is so much shorter.

This is a reread, of course. Still a darn good book.

This is a fantstic sequel to Little women about the house that Joe inherits on the occassion that her great aunt dies. She then makes a school and that's what this book is about.

So Jo opens a school and admits some boys whose life is narrated in the book. Little women characters Meg, John, Amy make an appearance. It's a sweet nice book good for one time read.

I read this novel through several times. The first time I read it, I was twelve. My mother gave it to me as a gift and it inspired me then to want to become a writer.

    Overview
This sparkling sequel to the beloved Little Women follows the grown-up and married Jo, mistress of Plumfield, a school for boys (and a few girls, too). The fun begins with a new arrival, Nat Blake; it is through his eyes that we first meet Plumfield’s lively residents and experience the cheerful confusion that reigns in the welcoming home. Fans of the first book will happily greet these wonderful characters…and renew their acquaintance with such old favorites as Laurie and Meg.
