I loved this book even though Anne played a very small part. It was such a good wartime romance story. And of course there is a girl that gets into a lot of "scrapes" in true Anne-ish style. I also loved the poet brother who writes about the pied piper calling him to serve his country, and then home to "glory land" if you will. So moving, yet so fresh.
