In short: walk everywhere you possibly can, drink 2 quarts of water a day, control your portions and eat with all five senses so it takes long enough to feel full much sooner which makes you eat less. That's pretty much it.

    The secret is "everything in moderation" -- so nothing new there. The advice is drink a lot of water and when you think you've had enough, drink more.

    Although the authors tone was a little demeaning at time this book was a great read. It's steps to a better relationship with food are essential and the recipes sound delicious. I think that this is really how a lot of europe eats and it is refreshing to see something that is not about deprivation. There is a lot of simple common sense wound together with her story of how she came into the knowledge that she has today. If you need bump in the right culinary direction is this a good bet.

    Nothing we didn't know before reading the book.
    Fresh food is better than processed food... We Americans eat too much processed and not enough fresh!! I GET IT!
