- Sue Bender: This book is told in the first person as if the Amish family is being interviewed, not as a story of their life as such. It is interesting in the fact that few people get acquainted with the Amish and this book does show who they are more fully. I read the book about 8 years ago, thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt like I was there in the story. Recommended.
