I've heard this called a feminist novel but I think its just a detective story from a female perspective, and often just a human perspective. Inspector Huss was put on a case about a torso found in the sea. Three more dismembered bodies later, both male and female, led to travels to Copenhagen and the gay community there and in Göteborg. There were several murderers committing these crimes because they enjoyed sadism, necrophilia, and cannibalism. Unlike Wallander, Huss home life is normal and loving so not really interesting.

I wasn't too sure about the tone of the first of this series (something about reading on an e-book) but I enjoyed this one more. Good thriller elements and nice pyschological portraits of the Inspector Huss and her family.

Interesting police procedural, the second in a series, set in Sweden and Copenhagen. Just a little too gruesome for my tastes.

Somehow I read this in two days. Sweden and Copenhagen murders with a icky twist. All that amidst lots of description about the food and beer and mating dogs and homelife. The ending surprised me because I thought it could be more than it was.
