- Nancy Drew: A young detective. she sometimes helps her dad, the famous Carson Drew.
- Bess Marvin: She is one of Nancy's best friends, and she also happens to be George's cousin.
- George Fayne: She is one of Nancy's best friends, and she also happens to be Bess's cousin.
- Ned Nickerson: He is Nancy's boyfriend.
- Carson Drew: He is Nancy's father and is also a well known lawyer in River Heights.
- Hannah Gruen: She works as a housekeeper for the Drew family. When Nancy's mother died, she stepped in as (a sort of) motherly figure.
