I am absolutely thrilled with the world of Thursday Next as created by Fforde. At first, I thought it was odd that he planned to take us a mere ~20 years into the past when creating this world. But as I continued into the story, I was entranced by the intricate world that had been created by Fforde's wonderful brush strokes. This definitely isn't the 1985 I grew up in.

There are so many intricacies that make this world great, it's hard to pinpoint just one or two favorites. As a...

I love this book - I thought it was really original while not too clever for its own good. It's definitely my favourite in the series - I think the later books get too bogged down in the details of the Bookworld.

The idea of being able to jump in and out of literature and meeting your favorite characters---thrilling. It took me a while to get into this book but once I did I really enjoyed myself. Thursday Next is a fantastic character and I look forward to reading more of her adventures. And I want my own Dodo!
