“Drama 120: Heritage of Dramatic Literature - A hilarious play that I absolutely enjoyed experiencing. A Commedia Del'arte that exhibits why comedy is more dangerous than tragedy. Main characters are Orgon, Tartuffe, Elmire, Valare, and Mariane. ”

Moliere's wit translated into English by Wilbur (avoid all other translators!) is quick and sharp, uses physical and verbal humor to bring it home: what is wrong with this family was here long before M. Tartuffe walked in... but yeah, now he's the problem and what will we do? Marvelous example of why Moliere was popular 400 years ago and is still the best comic writer of all.”

It was great to see religious hypocrisy set in a humorous setting. I loved the wittiness. It's a short but enjoyable read. It is not anti religious as some people think. It's anti hypocrisy.”
