Too simple. Too Simplified. I wish I had just read this in a magazine. I did, however, enjoy the graphic lay out. I think that's why I bought the book.

I enjoy quick, easy-to-read books with eye-catching graphics. However, I'm not buying what the author says. I get the impression from this book that to get ahead, you must always be caffeinated, hyper, always working, and never slowing down. She advocates "downing triple espresso lattes while leading a conference call. On a cell phone. In traffic. Driving a stick." I sure hope she means that metaphorically. Sounds like a recipe for a heart attack, if not a car crash.
There are some things that I agree with, such as the idea that we must take our careers into our own hands and not depend on some company to take care of us. In fact, there are a lot of bits of wisdom in this book. Unfortunately, they are offset by the occasional bit of hyperactive craziness such as the one I quoted above. I am enjoying reading the book, however, as it does provide a bit of a thrill ride.
