Notes: I listened to this on audio, regardless of not liking the first, A Great and Terrible Beauty. The cover lured me with notions of dark fantasy and strong female characters; I'm a sucker for great looking covers. I found myself continuously annoyed with Gemma's wishy washy decisions, especially those made while in the Relams. However, by the end of Rebel Angels Gemma's character becomes much more self-assured, which surprisingly leaves me eagerly awaiting the next installment, and its book cover :) ”
