After surviving a disastrous Antarctic expedition in Raising Atlantis, astro-archeologist Conrad Yeats falls on lean times: his reality TV show is canceled, and he buries his USAF general father at Arlington National Cemetery.

Vatican linguist Sister Serena Serghetti interprets Conrad's father's oddly sculpted tombstone to contain a cryptic message. Intrigued, Conrad investigates and discovers George Washington entrusted a treaty sealed in a celestial globe to the care of one of Conrad's ancestors—but Conrad is not the only one looking for it. And when, according to the Atlantis prophecy, the stars align with Washington D.C. monuments on July 4, 2008, his sinister rivals' new world order will begin clicking into place, if they manage to get hold of the globe.

Characters/People edit see section history

  • Dr. Conrad Yeats: The 39-year-old controversial archeologist is considered by some to be the world’s greatest expert on megalithic architecture. He is also the foster son of USAF Gen. Griffen Yeats, the American general leading the alleged U.S. military expedition in Antarctica.Best known for his short-lived cable television series "Ancient Riddles of the Universe", Dr. Yeats first attracted the ire of Middle East countries and archeological preservationists during the Persian Gulf War in 1991 when he reportedly provided the Pentagon with a detailed strategy on how to blow up the Pyramid at Ur, the ancient capital of Sumer in modern-day Iraq, where dictator Saddam Hussein was thought to be hiding out.
  • Dr. Serena Serghetti: Dubbed "Mother Earth" by the media for her environmental extremism and supermodel looks, 27 year-old Serena, is a representative of the Australia-Antarctica Preservation Society and an advisor to the environmental committee of the United Nations Antarctica Commission (UNACOM). She is also a former nun and no stranger to controversy.Born of an illicit affair between a Catholic priest and a housemaid outside Sydney, Australia, Serena was filled with shame as a child. She grew up among sordid whispers and hated her father, who denied his patrimony to the end. She silenced these whispers by pledging sexual purity at age 12, excelling in her study of linguistics, and joining a convent at 15. In short, she became a supersaint.
