interesting back story for the other books. I always like seeing things from another angle and having the opportunity to better understand characters, so this was a cool read for me

[Prequel to Flowers in the Attic]

It was very interesting to know how it all started. I couldn't help but feel sorry for Olivia, aka the evil grandmother, which gave me an interesting perspective of her when I read Flowers in the Attic again.
As a book by itself, I don't think it is very good. I was gripped only because it was the start of the whole storyline, so I simply NEEDED to know what happened. :P

the prequel to Flowers in the attic, this tale is equally twisted and dark. it has wonderful character development and the story twists the reader and keeps you till the end.

I read this years ago, but as with all VC Andrews, it was well written, fast paced and a good story.
