First VC andrews book I read, AWESOME! Flew through the series. Series like Dawn after this were a little disappointing because I knew what to expect....incest. Gets a little boring, but definitely Heaven is a good series.

I just started to read V.C Andrews and I have read the Heaven series and the Dawn series. I absolutely loved the Heaven series and was excited about Dawn, but I realized that there is the same story going through them all....incest basically! It tends to get boring knowing what to expect, but I am giving the Flowers in the attic series a shot now, hope I won't be disappointed...

I love this book and It's sadly one of the last books to be written by the real life V.C. Andrews before her death. She may of died after completing a couple more books in this series but this book starts off the last series of books to be written by the original author.

Anything after this series isn't as great IMO and were written by Ghost Writers who are using Andrews name (with permission from her estate) and as a result/stipulation have to follow the books V. C. Andrews did write and the later books show this through Repatative use of plot lines and ideas.

All in all though this book is excellent and is a good read and the remaining books of the series are also as good. Anything else after this is mostly hit or miss though. You can't go wrong with this book though.
