This was the second of this series, which I read right after they were published. The main thrust was family incest, really, but the way the books were written that didn't rear its ugly head right away; you'd get wrapped up in the story. I recall the word "doppelganger" being used, which I think meant two of the same kind (or something like that). I did enjoy this book nearly as much as the first one.
