Even though it's classic Arthurian tales, it was harder to get into than some of the others I've read. I would probably recommend others.

This is an enormous book. Thou thinkest the language of such a tome could smiteth thy head. This is the original King Arthur story as told by an imprisoned Malory who was every bit the opposite of the noble knights he wrote about.

Well, I only read Tales 7 & 8, and not the whole book. It's really sad, I think, to think of all the love they have for each other. And the betrayal that came along with the love. Ah. So sad. But I must say, my favourite thing about Malory's writing is his spelling. It made reading so much more challenging and amusing.

This is a beautiful unabridged edition, with superb illustrations. It is full of all the myths and legends surrounding Arthur. The definative edition.

I'm almost done and only *just now* did I find out Steinbeck died before he finished this. Damn it.

Check that. I finished. I need to research why Steinbeck stopped when he did, but I'm hoping against hope that it was intentional. It knocked me down. Still reeling. Please, if you know anything about it, drop a line my way.

It's a bit lengthy. My version really needs a good editor, but I'll probably get this version someday when I realize I have a ton of time to read (which'll be never unfortunately but I'll make due with the time constraints). Interesting read though.

This is another book in my collection that I firmly feel no library should be without. My own copy I've had since grade school, and it's so old, it makes me sneeze to open it! I've read it dozens of times.

When you are a kid growing up in an average Indian household you have usually grown up to listening to epic adventures. It's around the time you re 25 and have an interest in reading you start to understand them. They start growing on you. Fantastic read.
