I was blown away by Death Note. I had heard good things about it but was skeptical for the first few chapters. By the time I got about halfway through, however, my opinion had changed - I was hooked. The plot has twists that are never predictable, with the characters always one step ahead of each other. The characters are smart and, while not even the protagonist is entirely likable, I want to know what happens next to all of them. The art is excellent, and a cut above the art in the other...
