  • Misa Amane: Teen model who is madly in love with Light, Second Kira, also known as Misa-Misa
  • Ryuk: The Shinigami associated with Light's Death Note, he is male and loves apples from the human world.
  • L: The number one, two, and three best detective in the world; he is the leader of the Kira case.
  • Rem: The Shinigami associated with Misa's Death Note, is female.
  • Soichiro Yagami: Light Yagami's father, in the police force, and part of the Kira case.
  • Watari: He is the voice that L goes by during computerized transmissions. He is known world wide for his orphan agency.
  • Matsuda: Part of the Kira case, a like-able fellow who doesn't always take things seriously but is really reliable.
  • Near: L's successor, emotionless with white curly hair that he enjoys playing with. He is working with the United States on the Kira case and wears socks.
  • Mello: He is working on the Kira case separately, and was a candidate to be L's successor. He loves chocolate and can be heartless at times but has a variety of emotions.
