Too much sea. But I'm deeply in love with Captain Nemo.

A classic Sci-Fi adventure, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea takes the reader on a journey of the fantastical. I really enjoyed the characters' exploration of Captain Nemo's sub, and the discovery of so many wonderful and magical new things. A book that was ahead of its time, Verne takes a glimpse into the future that is visionary, and in the process, creates not only a wonderful romantic adventure, but an enigmatic, captivating, and eccentric recurring character in Captain Nemo.
A book that makes you remember what reading is all about.

Join The Natillus and a bunch of diffrent crew members in a underwater adventure that will take you 20,000 leagues arouand the world. This book was actually really boreing and tedious of a read.

Although I'm not a big Fantasy guy, I decided to take a chance at reading this book. Fortunately for me, I really enjoyed reading this book. There's really not much too say, because anything will give it away. For now, just think of it as a journey throughout the ocean. (1 league = 3.45233834 miles)

Another exciting and intelligent classic from Verne. This one is not quite as reader-friendly as "A Journey to the Centre of the Earth", but still exciting and mysterious. The ending is fitting of the buildup but still is a bit frustrating, considering the inconclusiveness of it all. However, by leaving questions unanswered, Verne provokes thought and depth to a book that already requires both.

I thought this book was a little hard to read in the beginning. It is very lengthy and very adventures. I thought it was very good but i thought it was a little hard for me.

This was the book that started me on a lifelong hobby of reading, and I hadn't read it since I was eight or nine. It didn't hold the same rapture for me now as it did then, but I was nonetheless transported to a childhood of fond memories. 5 stars - if written today, it would merit no more than 3 stars. However, it was written around 1869-1870. Jules Verne gets 5 stars for his extraordinary vision.
