This book is as good has my older sisters food. Under a war-torn sky is as wonderful as swimming with the dolphins. The book that Im doing a review on right now is as romantic as a couple getting married. The authors book " Under a War-Torn Sky" is as action-packed as Jackie Chan's karate moves.

How did I not ever read this book with my boys?? This WWII tale of Henry, a young pilot from Richmond Va, who gets shot down over France and has to find his way home with the help of many brave Resistance fighters, made me sob. ( And not just because my own Henry is off to become an officer). Elliot ihas written a sequel and I can not wait to read it too.

A great book for young adults who like books about war and survival. This one is set during World War II.

A General named Henry Forester, 19-years-old, is a pilot that is on a mission to bomb Germany. But disaster strikes when he is shot down by a flak cannon. Henry is on a mad dash to safety. He is risking his life asking people, total strangers, for directions to safety.

An incredible piece of historical fiction. Set in the Second World War, bomber pilot Henry Forester (just 19) is shot down alone in a treacherous land. He is forced to rely on the cunning of the French Resistance, and to use all his wits and courage in order to survive the journey across Nazi-occupied Europe...
