This is one of my "All Time Favorites." Story of a very strong determined woman who was way ahead of her time. Interesting to read. It's as though she has let you read all the letters she wrote and received during her life.

I enjoyed this book. I felt like I had traveled with Bess(the main character). I had to keep reminding myself that this was about a women in the 1900 and not today. It was fun to see the changes in history through her letters. She is very interesting women and I like her boldness.
