  • Sej: A dice game, part chance and part skill.
  • Kontrin: Modified humans, somewhat immortal due to combined human and majat science. The elite class and rulers of the Reach.
  • beta: Modified humans, most normal of the humans of the Reach, with a normal lifespan. Called as such by Kontrin and Majat. Not normally used by betas themselves and likely considered a perjorative.
  • Azi: Modified human clones. Likely the majority workforce. Lifespan maximum of 40 years controlled by a fatal, built-in flaw. Sterile. Considered a commodity.
  • Majat: An ant-like intelligent species. Their homeworld is Cerdin, but due to human help they have spread throughout the Reach. They are divided into four main hives, namely blue, green, red, and gold.
