Very fun read. It was easy to believe Blair Underwood as Ten and get swept away in the story like I was watching a movie.

This is another favorite of mine. The book was all of that. Plus, it reminded me of Blair Underwood, even though he had part of the writing to do with two other authors. Anyway, it was very intriguing and I loved it.

Thoroughly enjoyed this suspense novel and look forward to more Tennyson Hardwick stories. Interesting characters, well written erotica, and good pace.

Tennyson Hardwick, struggling actor, part-time bodyguard, ex-male escort, turned sleuth, runs into an old friend/client, Rap artist turned actress, Serena (AKA Afrodite) at Roscoe's, a local restaurant. One thing leads to another and he finds himself enjoying more than some chicken and waffles. After a night of pleasure, Ten is startled to learn of Serena's death, and even more upset to learn that he is the focus of the investigation and the #1 suspect, and has made it his mission to find out who killed her and why.

Filled with interesting and multi-dimensional characters (i.e., bad cops; Rap stars who like underage girls; a bitter and jealous sister; an underaged prostitute with attitude; a love interest who is a reporter; a greedy promotor and a charasmatic madam), this novel is a quick and enjoyable read.

While navigating Ten's world, you are also invited into the sex industry, Rap industry, and entertainment industry, through the eyes of an insider. Underlying the story, which has everything you need to be good (i.e., sex, violence and a good murder mystery), you see a man's struggle to have a relationship with his father. This is perhaps the most endearing thing about the novel, "Ten's" struggle to have a relationship with his father, who is an ex-LAPD Captain recovering from a stroke. Tennyson (named after the poet) struggles daily to redeem himself, in both the eyes of his father and himself. He wants to make up for past deeds and correct mistakes that he has made in his life. He has regrets and is constantly haunted by the question of "what if", and only getting to the bottom of who killed Serena will soothe his mind.

I must admit that I did not think that I was going to enjoy this novel, afterall, it was written by an actor turned novelist, and ...I don't know what I expected, but I didn't expect it to be good. But when I heard Due collaborated on the book, since she is one of my favorite authors, I was intrigued, and took a leap of faith. I am glad, because this book was better than I ever could have imagined.

I LOVED this book. I saw it on a friend's shelf and put it on my shelf because I LOVE Blair Underwood. Once I started reading the book, I couldn't stop. I could imagine how they looked and sounded. SEXY, interesting storytelling. I SERIOUSLY hope they write more Tennyson Hardwick books because I'd definitely read them. The bedroom scenes were GREAT! Got to love a man who KNOWS his craft and is good at it. :)

I have to say that I bought the book on a for sale table. Blair Underwood's name caught my eye. I fell in love with him as an actor when he was on the soaps many years ago. Anyways, I bought it put it on my endless to be read book shelves. Well I picked it up and read it and was pleasently surprised. I really liked this book. It had character and substance. I kept coming back until I gobbled it up. I have to say I would buy another Tennyson Harwick story I liked this character. Tennyson Hardwick is a actor used to be giggolo who meets up with some pretty hard characters. But Ten has a soft side if you read this book. He turns the table on some bad cops and decides to do some dectective work and try to find a murderer. The sex scenes in this book are pretty erotic. I would have to say you better get ready for a popsicle to cool you down cause they are some smokin love scenes. Damn I hope there is another book.

My friend gave me the book and said that she couldn't read it. I had no problem reading it and I actually got pretty caught up in it. It made me want to finish reading it until I was done. I will say that I've read Mrs. due before and her writing was a bit hard to read, but this book flowed for me. I definitely suggest it for your bookshelf.
