A classic for crichton, well deserving of the praise it has recieved. not a crichton that loses credibility as his research aged.

The treatment and surgery scenes are too descriptive and occupy about half the book. And then, the plot is not so thrilling or strong. It's neither convincing in many places. Not a good read. I just read it till the end just to put it down.
