I'm not familiar with whatever spiritual movement is mentioned below, but the concept of "walk-ins" is an interesting literary device that is used to good results in this young adult novel about "lost souls" who meet in the guise of two young teens to have a very Romeo and Juliet relationship. I think the book does a good job expressing the budding adult qualities of life that teens suddenly find themselves embodying, almost as if the childhood part of them that cannot cope and has left them...

The scenerio is interesting and the love story good, I am disapointed that this categorized as a young adult book. There are very adult scenes in this book, I do not recommend it for anyone under the age of 18.

The writing is beautiful and lyrical. The whole book is poetic and the story is compelling. I couldn't put it down. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Ms. Whitcomb's work.

Just finished this book - for a book club meeting next month. I enjoyed it a great deal and can't wait to discuss with the rest of the group. We read Lovely Bones by Anne Sebold earlier and I think this is a great comparative novel and should lead to some great discussion. Nevertheless I did find that the story wrapped up/resolved itself a little too neatly and far too quickly in the end chapters - it made the earlier character struggles seem a bit overdramatic. Nevertheless I did enjoy the story and Laura Whitcomb's writing and I look forward to her future titles.

Loved this book. She definitely needs to write more, she has a fluidity and clarity to her writing. Her plots were well thought out and detailed, original and masterful. Could not put this one down.

This was such an awesome story of the love between two kindred souls. Granted they were both dead souls thus the twist of this love story. I could not put the book down and I hope that they will make this one into a movie :)
