I have loved all of her books that I have read and I own them all; however, I have not yet read them all. Since she doesn't have a large backlist, I ration the privilege of reading her books. Didn’t Like It“Too much description. While I was reading, I skipped huge portions of description because it was boring!” see full review » see other reviews » |
“This is a fabulous book. It has mystery, heartache, love, social unrest, intra-family dynamics and truly memorable characters. Robert is a man clearly bound to the past. Belinda is a woman trying to make a future. The social and economic difficulties that women faced are clearly and concisely revealed and yet it is not preachy. It is an extremely emotional love story that moves from exhiliration to despair and back to exhiliration. ”

She's a highly visible courtesan...
He's a duke... a paragon... a knight in shing amor... a charming prince on a white horse...
He has to choose... honor or love? Which one?

“Before Her Only Desire, the latest offering by Gaelen Foley that distressed Sheridan Sakura Carlotta so much that after her raniew, Juan had to take two weeks off from our ripmybodice HQ to coax her back to sanity, which involved bringing copious amounts of alcohol while pretending to be Matthew Farrell on alternate days, and Gerard Butler on the others, there was “The Duke”, first in the legendary Knight Brothers Series. Born of the loins of the same mother, but different fathers, the Knight Brothers are the scandal of the ton, each with their own different but deadly good looks. In summary, there’s Robert, the “starchy” patriarch of the family, Damien & Lucien (also known as Demon & Lucifer) who are the twins, Alec the wild bachelor of the family and Pirate Jack (the black sheep of the family). A series depicting the lives of 5 gorgeous brothers all broody and broken in their own special way? How could we say no to such a series here at ripmybodice HQ? No seriously. How?
