A collection of short stories that showcase Lethem's dramatic flair. Not the nonsequiter humour of Gun with Occasional Music but a very smart collection nonetheless. Comic book reference abound for those of us so inclined.

Amusing and very slight short stories from an author who is capable of major fiction - Fortress of Solitude, Motherless Brooklyn.

A stort story collection which slices and dices pop culture in a funny poignant way, full of unreliable narrators and men who can't quite grow up.

The audio CD is worth it, once you have read the book, because it is read not by standard professional readers, but by friends of the author. The results are mixed, but you can hear how much the readers enjoy the story they're presenting. The effect is intimate - quite a trick for stories about Super GoatBoy, an interview with an actual crab who used to be on a hit sitcom, or an apocalypse sheep who visits his creator.

"Oh, I'm dire all right, but I'm not the only one - look in the mirror, friend."

An interesting collection by some-time science fiction writer Jonathan Lethem. "Interview with the Crab" is fairly bizarre, but the most compelling of the stories.

Pretty good short stories. Like almost all short story collections, some are great, some are good, and some I don't remember, The Vision and Vivian Relf and great.
