The audio CD is worth it, once you have read the book, because it is read not by standard professional readers, but by friends of the author. The results are mixed, but you can hear how much the readers enjoy the story they're presenting. The effect is intimate - quite a trick for stories about Super GoatBoy, an interview with an actual crab who used to be on a hit sitcom, or an apocalypse sheep who visits his creator.
"Oh, I'm dire all right, but I'm not the only one - look in the mirror, friend."”
“fun read...go super goatman!”
