I read this book at least one year ago and recommended to a friend whose husband's father died when he was a teenager. This book puts wonderful vocabulary around the subject of growing up with a father that was absent for any reason. As I read this book I wondered if Don realized that although this book was written from the perspective of a boy growing up without a father, the feelings he expresses are felt by men who grew up physically with a father, however either choose to or by...
