Begging for change is a book about a girl name Raspberry and her m,om was recently hit in the head with a pipe by her next door neighboor Shakita and Raspberry's father shows up to the hospital smelling bad and looking bad. Raspberry leaves with her bestfriend and spends the nighrt her dad takes them to dinner for some pizza Raspberry's bestfriend excuses herself to go change her make up and later her dad follows her , then Raspberry realizes that she doesnt have any money for their field trip so she takes it upon herself to take her bestfriend's money out of her purse. About five minutes later they return her dad pays the bill and they leave. Her bestfriends dad takes Raspberry to get a couple of things from home then they get into an altercation with Shakita's sister and some other neighbors so they left... A few days later Raspberry's mom is released from the hospital were she returns home afraid that Shakita sister would retaliate on her for getting Shakita arrested!
