This has been my favorite parenting book so far. If you're looking for specific ways to address issues, this is not the book for you. If you are looking for hope and inspiration, this book has that in spades. I struggle sometimes with whether or not I'm getting it right, and this book made me feel so much more confident, and that it is okay to make mistakes. One of my favorite concepts is that God's children are not perfect....so why should I expect mine to be?? I will go forward with...

I didn't get past the 1st chapter. The truth is, I was really turned off by the author classifying all "us bad parents" into categories, saying that all the parenting methods out there are "wrong" which suggests to me that his way is the only right way to do it. I believe that there are several successful ways to parent children and as long as we are going to the Word as our source, first and foremost, we will win. Certainly none of us are perfect and yes, we will make mistakes. But we need...
