What is it that keeps human beings from God? Is it unspeakable evil? No, if anything some of the best of us can interfere in being able to step forward. Lewis shows us the fallenness of the world infects everything even beautiful things like the love of a mother for her son.
This is a short and easy to read book.
On the other hand, having just read Witherington's commentary on Revelations and Wright's Surprised By Grace, I found much of Lewis created world to be tilted to Platonic dualism which undermined the overall book for me. ”
“This is an awesome book. Very creative and thought provoking.”

There were so many great insights and thoughts, especially on heaven and time. My favorite part: "Then what ARE we born for?" "For infinite happiness... You can step out into it at any moment..."”
