Unsurpassed and probably unsurpassable. "Little Women" is quite simply THE young sisters-becoming-women classic. 19th century Concord, Mass., left us the transcendentalists and "Little Women." You can have the transcendentalists--Harvard Divinity School, Walden Pond, Self-Reliance and the...

A bit too syrupy and didactic for my taste. Perhaps I would have enjoyed it more if I'd read it for the first time at a younger age. Or perhaps not. I have a serious resistance to books that are overly obvious in promoting some sort of "lesson," especially when such things are stated explicitly...

I love the characters of the four girls as I could relate to each of them from different aspects of my own character. I sympathized with them in their trials, laughed and sang. It is delightful seeing the little women mature and grow under the wise guidance of their marmee.

This book is amazing. It is one of my favorite books. I love how quiet and sweet it is. I also adore how this book is based around four very different female characters. I loved watching how they grew up. I just love this book. It was one of my reads that I took with me on every road trip I had.

A great, inspiring book, full of many obstacles that the four girls, Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy have to face during their lives.
