Even though there were no vampires, the story line matches with Twilight

Nisareen - So Much To Read So Little Time

Zara collects phobias the way other high school girls collect lipsticks. Little wonder, since life’s been pretty rough so far. Her father left, her stepfather just died, and her mother’s pretty much checked out. Now Zara’s living with her grandmother in sleepy, cold Maine so that she stays “safe.” Zara doesn’t think she’s in danger; she thinks her mother can’t deal. Wrong. Turns out that guy she sees everywhere, the one leaving trails of gold glitter, isn’t a figment of her imagination. He’s a pixie—and not the cute, lovable kind with wings. He’s the kind who has dreadful, uncontrollable needs. And he’s trailing Zara. With suspense, romance, and paranormal themes, this exciting breakout novel has all the elements to keep teens rapidly turning the pages.

There are a lot of new fae and fairy books out there and it is hard not to fall into the same storyline. This started out very similiar to Twilight- she moved to a new town, meets some boys, make friends, mysterious disappearances... ya ya. But what I loved about this book, despite its obvious predictability, was that is was entertaining without being overdone. There were some parts that had me on the edge and others that were ho-hum but I COULD not stop reading! I spent the night on the couch and read until I finished. Cover to cover it only took about three hours and I was very pleased with the little twists and turns in the plot. Our main character is fun and sporty and not "the one" the fairy king was after, which was a nice breath of fresh air.
All in all, it was worth the buy but not full price. Buy it used or get it from the library. But DO get it. You'll find yoursefl waiting for the sequel.

This book was AMAZING!!! A total plus for me was at the beginning of every chapter the author lists a phobia that relates to the chapter. Very cool, very unusual.

A wonderful book that shows me a version of pixies that I've never seen before.
