Its aclassic. Nothing less can be said about it. The main characters.. frollo, quasimodo & esmeralda are portrayed with a brilliant sweeping emotional style. the language of the book may be a little difficult to grasp.

I've read many of Hugo's books as a boy and this one I loved in particular. My first encounter of innocence versus evil. Esmeralda's rescue by the hunchback is such a beautiful episode.
