“I loved this book when I read in in my 8th grade lit. class. IT WAS AWESOME! [3 ed it and I recommenend this to EVERYONE that's 12 and older. We had to read the unabridged version.”
“I am reading this book for RTI, can I read it in here to?”
“Summary: The story is about two boys who get into a lot of mischief together. Tom and Huck are best friends and they get into a lot of adventures together. On one of their adventures was when they were hunting buried treasure. In their search they are in an abandoned house and come across some secrets they shouldn’t have heard. The book also describes the crush between Tom and his love Becky.Reason Chosen: I absolutely loved this book when I was growing up. Being from Missouri it was great to know where all the spots they were actually talking about in the book. I also loved being from the same area as Mark Twain the author. Besides having a connection to the book in that way I think it is written very much towards the audience. It does a great job of bringing the reader in and when reading it you really feel the emotion. Use in Classroom: In my classroom I would definitely use this book as a read aloud. I think the students would all be very interested in the story line and would enjoy hearing it each day. I also think that you can bring in so much excitement into your classroom with an exciting story like this. You never know what might happen next in the story so you would have the students waiting at the edge of their seats to hear the next part.”
