A great mystery series with a stylish amateur sleuth. The High Heel Mystery Series has Maddie Springer, shoe designer, thrown into some wacky crime situations aided by her best friend, Dana, and Marco. Lots of unusual and colorful characters. Gemma Halliday is the author of this relatively new mystery series. Check out her website at http://www.gemmahalliday.com/

This is a really cute, well told story. It's a humorous murder mystery. The heroine is Late—as in “pee on a stick” late, and her boyfriend has gone missing. In a mysterious way. As in his best client is charged with embezzlement and the cops think the boyfriend knows something. And so one of the cops starts hanging around with the heroine to see what she knows. Things start happening, and not just in one area of the heroine's life. Everything pretty much goes haywire. It is really a fun read. I got a big kick out of it.
