“I absolutely love this book and read "The Saregasso Sea" which is the story told from Bertha Mason's point of view. I wonder if she was biologically mad or if the change in culture and a move from her family might have contributed to the madness. I love Mr. Rochester but have struggled at times with reconciling his utter devotion to Jane against his growing resentment against Bertha.”
“How did I never read this book before? I can't put it down!”
“well so far. i haven't seen any adaptions i really liked. i did love the book though.”
“There are so many Jane Eyre film adaptations, which one is the best?”
“Anybody else planning on seeing the new adapation directed by Cary Fukunaga? It came out last weekend in limited theatres in the U.S. For those that have seen it, what did you think? How did it compare to previous versions?”
“This is one of the most touching books i ever read, its not just the story but also Charlotte Bronte's biography at the beginning of the book. The book had been on my mum's bookshelf since the early 80's. Then i read it in 2005. Wow. I read it twice. since then i have kept the book in a really safe place.”
“Have any of you read the imaqgined prequel to this book, Wide Sargasso Sea?”
“A few people I told to read the book feel Mr.Rochester treated Jane badly and was wrong when he flirted with Blance Ingram etc. I feel that he did this to try and get her to admit how she truly felt, i think he had been hurt by love so much before he didnt want to get hurt again and so he did these things because she is a closed book and he didnt really know how to read her? Just wondering how any other Janes Eyre fans felt about how Rochester treats her?”
“i should read this again soon. i really felt that i had something in common with jane. she was awesome.”
“hate this bookso effing boring ”
