Great information on sleep - it helped me understand my own sleep habits better as well as that of my child's! I know several mothers who have used the techniques when they have had sleep problems with their children, and without exception, they were met with positive results. Not all the techniques apply to every situation, but the sleep theory is great!

The only parenting book on sleep that made any sense to me...and made all the difference. Five years later, my "baby" still has reliable sleep habits and bedtime is bliss!

Thank God for this book. We used the techniques on my son when he was about nine months. It was hard at first, but it works and the ideas brought forth about routine have helped us to better understand our children. When our daughter came along the transition was smooth and easy for sleep. If you have young children or newborns, you must read this book!!!

This is the best book on sleep I've read. It has detailed strategies for helping babies sleep at different ages and cites lots of studies documenting the correlation between children's behavior and the amount of sleep they get. I'd recommend this book to anyone with children.

This book was recommended to me by my sister after I had my first baby. It taught me a lot about the importance of sleep and keeping a regular schedule for children. It also made me realize that being a good sleeper is something that has to be taught. We have used the method of getting a baby to sleep through the night and have regular naps and it has helped us so much to have a happy, well rested child. There is a noticable difference in our child when he gets off of his sleep schedule. I would recommend this book to everyone with young children.

This is the very best sleep book around (of course, I haven't read any others...). This book saved me when I had colicky Henry. It gives a great summary of the biological workings of sleep and why it is so important. It gives you straightforward solutions to any sleep situation you may encounter. It is fantastic. A must read for all parents- not just new ones. -Diahan
