But mostly, this reminded/rekindled the passion I have for working in small companies.” see full review » see other reviews » |
Didn’t Like It“This book seems to be for people "in the loop" to appreciate. Even though I work in IT, the combination of a strained format and too many names being thrown around made me put it down. Not finishing usually results in a one star rating, but it deserves a bit better than that.” see full review » see other reviews » |
“Bought this book like 18 months ago.. really hated because there were no exciting stories, the way they showed in "Pirates of Silicon Valley". Then we started trying to start our own. Like 6 - 8 month in trying to do a start-up, I happen to get a chance to read this book and boy, I was amazed. This book seemed so close to what are happening to us. This is a real treasure.. but you may not like it, if you expect fancy startup stories. If I could, I would have rated it 6 out of 5. Awesome read, recommended.

“One of the few books with practical startup advice.”

With that being said, the founders interviewed were able to share many valuable experiences and I learned a lot.”

Interesting contradictions of "rules" and "absolutes" between founders, which reflects the dichotomy of real life. ”
