“Preposterous. If Murdoch wanted to create loathsome characters, she succeeded. I didn't give a damn about any of them, though I had to keep reading till the end. It was like the seediest soap opera in that many characters slept with many of the others, but with an added twist. Not sure whether it was a class thing or just that it's dated, but I found this pretty grim. ”
