Excellent! This book taught me something my teachers couldn't: how to use punctuation properly and what exactly it means.

An entertaining look at punctuation, its history, how it has evolved, differences between British and American usage, etc. Sounds like it would be dull, but it's not, very well done. I liked the story about the letted George Bernard Shaw sent to the editor of The Times in 1945. He argued the second "b" in "bomb" should be dropped to save time. A ruthless focus on efficiency!

When I was at school, the class I learn the most in had a teacher that knew how to make the subject matter fun. This book does exactly that; it makes grammar fun, I caught myself giggling all the time. Brilliant, informative, and funny!

This book is more entertaining than a non-fiction book about punctuation should be. It is humorously snarky and tedious at the same time.

If you are a teacher (in any sense of the word), you must read this book! Did I punctuate this correctly? Now I have to read it again.

This book was very different from the genre and style that I am accustomed to. While not a true novel, I found it to be extremely insightful and interesting. From cover to cover, the author discusses the usages and importance of punctuation in writing. I originally thought that this would be a very boring read but was proven otherwise almost immediately. I learned a lot about punctuation and had questions answered about the topic. Something about the author's informative. subtly comedic technique kept me interested and motivated to continue reading. Without a doubt, I would consider this an unusual yet memorable book that's left a certain impression on me.
